God, I love having credit card points, which make it so easy to plan and schedule yet another guilt free travel – this time to Turkey, to meet with my Easter Europe family – sister and cousins!
So, what will the trip involve?
Dates:
– Sep 23td to Oct 3rd, 2022
Itinerary:
– Fly Turkish Airlines to Antalya (a town on Mediterranean sea)
– Stay seven nights at a condo in Antalya rented through Airbnb (the travel cost will be shared by five girls, so about $150 per person)
– Fly to Istanbul (not booked yet, most likely on Turkish airlines as well)
– Stay three nights in Istanbul at Grand Hyatt
– Fly back to the US on Turkish Airlines
Credit Card travel awards:
– 90K Capital One points (transferred to Turkish Airlines) and $400 for two round trips (I am going with a friend of mine), for the total value of $3,252 (3.17 cents per mile)
– 72,000 UR points transferred to Hyatt for two rooms/three nights each at Grand Hyatt Istanbul, for the total value of $1,658 (2.3 cents per mile)
– $30 saved by purchasing a few Airbnb gift cards through Raise.com
In total, credit card travel rewards saved us $4,540. This is the best booking I’ve done so far using credit card travel awards! To travel to Europe, stay 10 nights altogether and pay about $350 per person – how awesome is that?! I anticipate to have food/entertainment expenses, but Turkey is not so expensive country, so I don’t expect to have a lot more spend for this trip.
I am SOO excited for this trip, can’t wait to see my sister/cousins again and have a wonderful time in Turkey (my first time in that country)! 3.5 weeks to go….
